Kai Havertz Decision Make Klopp Sad. GOD55

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp faces a problem in their pursuit of transfer target Kai Havertz as the Bayer Leverkusen wants to stay in Germany. Klopp may have to change his summer transfer plans as Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz wants to join Bayern Munich, according to reports in Germany.

Klopp has been keen on signing Havertz in the next transfer window, with the Reds' reportedly having an approach rejected last summer.

The 20-year-old is having another impressive season for Leverkusen and so far this campaign he has scored 10 goals and provided eight assists in 34 appearances in all competitions.

And while Liverpool have been monitoring his progress for quite some time, according to Sky in Germany, Havertz wants to join Bayern once the transfer window opens.

The report claims Bayern manager Hans-Dieter Flick wants to strengthen his midfield ranks at the end of the season and the club have identified Havertz as an ideal addition.

Havertz, who is a Leverkusen academy graduate, has developed significantly over these last two campaigns.

Last season, the attacking midfielder scored 20 goals and provided seven assists in all competitions and his performances also saw him called up to Germany's national team.

Havertz is currently under contract until 2022 after having signed a five-year deal back in July 2017.
