Covidiot Grealish!! GOD55

Aston Villa have confirmed that the proceeds of Jack Grealish's fine £150,000 for breaching the coronavirus guidelines will go to a Birmingham charity.

“Aston Villa is deeply disappointed that one of our players ignored the Government's guidance on staying at home during the coronavirus crisis,” a club statement read.

“Club captain Jack Grealish has accepted that his decision to leave his house was wrong and entirely unnecessary. It breached the Government guidelines which are clear and should be adhered to by everybody.

“The player will be disciplined and fined with the proceeds donated to The University Hospitals Charity in Birmingham.”

It is understood the fine totals £150,000 – which works out as two weeks' wages for Grealish.

Old Trafford Sign Saul Niguez. GOD55

Manchester United are ‘increasingly confident’ of completing a club record £135million move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez this summer.

The Spaniard has been on the club’s radar since Louis van Gaal was at the helm at Old Trafford but United have twice been rebuffed in an effort to sign the midfielder. Niguez, 25, signed an astonishing nine-year deal with Atletico in 2017 but it includes a £135m buy-out clause and the Daily Star claim United are ready to trigger it.

United watched Niguez in action against Liverpool at Anfield early this month and were impressed with the 25-year-old’s performance as the Champions League holders were knocked out by Diego Simeone’s side.

Niguez would arrive as Paul Pogba’s replacement and the deal is depedent on United offloading the Frenchman this summer. Real Madrid and Juventus are both keen on the World Cup winner but United want around £120m for his services.

Solskjaer will then be given the full amount of that money to spend on Niguez and it’s claimed the Norwegian is excited by the prospect of pairing the Spaniard with Bruno Fernandes in United’s midfield.

The Portuguese star has made a sensational start to life at Old Trafford but Solskjaer remains keen on strengthening his midfield. The 47-year-old is interested in Ajax star Donny van de Beek but it’s feared the Dutchman prefers a move to Real Madrid. Niguez would become one of the highest paid players at Old Trafford but United would have more breathing space with high earner Pogba off the books.

MU to Federico: 500mil! GOD55

Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly been quoted a world record fee of €500M for Real Madrid star Federico Valverde.

United are looking to strengthen their midfield options over the summer, with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looking to add to the January arrival of Portuguese international Bruno Fernandes.

However, any potential interest in Uruguayan international Valverde now appears to over, due to his huge release clause in Madrid.

According to reports in the Daily Mirror, the Red Devils have been told the La Liga side will only consider offers that meet the 21-year old’s full buyout fee ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

Valverde is unlikely to be keen on a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu however, after establishing himself as a key player for Zinedine Zidane’s side this season.

Zidane has rotated between Valverde and veteran Luka Modric, with the Croatian international potentially leaving the club when his contract expires in 2021.

UEFA President: Current Season Might Not Finish. GOD55

The head of European soccer's governing body said that the current season could be "lost" if it is unable to re-start by the end of June, although he did not rule out extending it into the next season.

UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin told the Italian newspaper La Repubblica that there were a number of options for concluding the season, which has been brought to a halt around Europe by the coronavirus pandemic.

"There is a plan A, B and C. The three options are to start again in mid-May, in June or at the end of June, if we don't succeed, the season will probably be lost," he said.

However, he then added: "There is also the possibility of starting again at the beginning of the next, starting the following one later. We will see the best solution for leagues and clubs."

Ceferin has said finishing domestic leagues was the priority, even if it meant playing behind closed doors.

"It's hard for me to imagine all the matches behind closed doors, but we still don't know whether we'll resume, with or without spectators.

"If there was no alternative, it would be better to finish the championships anyway," he said.

"But I can say that I don't think about the finals of the European club competitions behind closed doors."

Ceferin said that the decision to postpone Euro 2020 until next year "has shown that every emergency is our emergency and every club is our club."

He said that a video conference with representatives of clubs, leagues and players was "a fantastic demonstration of unity and solidarity."

He was also talking to FIFA and its president Gianni Infantino despite recent differences.

"It is important to forget personal interests and disagreements," he said.

Juve Pay Cut 100mil. GOD55

Juventus Football Club SpA, home to star player Cristiano Ronaldo, reached a deal with players and its coach Maurizio Sarri to reduce compensation as the virus outbreak forced Italy’s Serie A and other leagues to halt games.

The soccer team owned by the Agnelli family will cut players’ salaries for an amount equal to the monthly wages of March, April, May and June, the company said in a statement late Saturday. A spokesman for Juventus confirmed that the measure applies to Ronaldo and all team players.

Juventus will save about 90 million euros ($100 million) for the 2019-2020 financial year. The deal will be completed in the coming weeks, the company added.

The Agnelli family, which has owned Juventus for more than 90 years, also controls Ferrari N.V. and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. Its holding company Exor NV owns 64% of Juventus. Andrea Agnelli, the cousin of Exor CEO John Elkann, has been chairman of Juventus since 2010.

Italy’s coronavirus deaths surpassed 10,000 on Saturday even as the contagion’s spread remained relatively stable.

Europe’s hardest-hit country had 889 new fatalities in the past 24 hours, health authorities said, with a slight decline from Friday’s record. New cases rose marginally to 5,974, bringing the total count of patients in the country to 92,472.

Dybala or Pjanic for Pogba. GOD55

JUVENTUS will offer Paulo Dybala or Miralem Pjanic to Manchester United in a bid to land Paul Pogba, according to reports.

The Frenchman looks destined to leave Old Trafford during the next transfer window and the Italian champs are keen to be reunited with their former player.

Real Madrid are currently favourites for Pogba's signature but the Serie A side hope to turn the tide in their favour by offering one of the talented pair as part of the deal, according to Italian outlet TuttoSport.

Juve are reportedly happy to part with one of the duo in a deal described as a "win-win".

SunSport recently revealed United are ready to offload the French midfielder this summer for just £100million.

Pogba has reportedly made it clear he will be furious if United extend his contract amid interest from Madrid.

The Red Devils have the option to extend his deal by an additional year and with it strengthen their bargaining position when it comes to his exit.

Pjanic has played 32 times for Juve this season scoring three times and bagging three assists from centre-midfield.

Dybala has managed two games more and the attacking playmaker has scored 13 and provided 12 assists in that time.

Lets see how will it end after the season.

Who to Replace Messi? GOD55

The question to this puzzle is inevitable. Who can replace the little Magician? Lionel Messi’s legacy at Barcelona and his contribution to football is unparalleled. However, the little magician is edging the age of 33, and it might be time for someone else to take over the reigns for the Blaugrana.
Lionel Messi holds the status of a deity for the fans of the club and the people of Catalonia. He is genuinely right up there with Antoni Gaudi when you speak of people that the city of Barcelona adore. He cannot, and will not be replaced.

He is going to leave a massive void for the Blaugrana, that is going to hurt them for quite some time. You’re talking about creativity, dribbling, goalscoring, goal creation, aesthetics, set-piece ability, clutch moments, and so much more. Messi might be one of the most complete players ever, if not the most complete forward ever.

There’s not one player who could directly replace Messi and do everything he does. And that is why Barcelona should follow the model Real Madrid built on after they sold Cristiano Ronaldo. They got upwards of a €100 million for a 34-year-old, but took their time before they started investing that money.

So.. who is the top 3 that can manage to hold that position when Messi is not around?

Ansu Fati - his protege.

Fati successfully succeeding Messi at Barcelona would be almost poetic for Camp Nou faithfuls because of how he has progressed from the academy. The 17-year-old was called up to the first-team at the age of 16 after injuries to Suarez and Messi left the team short-handed in attack. Since then he’s been a first-team regular for the club, impressing in all competitions, and setting several records.

There have been many comparisons drawn between the club captain and Fati. Both of them got an early call up for Barca after impressing in the youth ranks. Both of them made their debut at the age of 16. Messi as a teenager had a very similar playing style as Fati: stretching defences by staying wide and running at defences. The Spanish teenager, however, lacks the vision that Messi had and developed from and early age.

If Fati is given ample game time, and is managed properly, he can undoubtedly become the next sensation in world football and take the throne from Messi. Moreover, this substitution could save Barcelona a lot of money and provide a very long-term solution.

The Expensive Jadon Sancho

Borussia Dortmund’s superstar Jadon Sancho is on the radars of almost every club right now, impressing for two consecutive seasons. He’s been doing sensationally well since he made the bold move of leaving Manchester City in the hope of more game time.

The Englishman has already overtaken his overall tally from last season and has been involved directly in 29 goals this season. He also featured in the 3-1 beating Dortmund took against Barcelona, scoring his club’s consolation goal.

His departure from Germany is almost inevitable at this point. Dortmund have slapped a £120 million price tag on him, but considering the number of clubs looking to add him to their team, a bidding war is almost imminent.

Sancho shows maturity and selflessness on the ball far beyond his age, and that is visible in his assist numbers which have been in direct competition with Messi’s for 2 seasons. Besides, the 20-year-old can and has played rather brilliantly on either flank and through the middle. His creative flair and attacking prowess shows he’s ready for a big move, and transfer to become the successor of the greatest player on the planet is the biggest move he can get.

Alternatively - Marcus Rashford

It’s been so long since Rashford’s starring debut against FC Midtjylland, people tend to forget he’s only 22, far from his peak and does not deserve the criticism he gets. It is a very real possibility that the Englishman would want to stay and develop his career at Manchester United throughout, specially considering the English club’s rebuild.

But much like any other player, if Rashford wants to have a very real shot at the biggest trophies in the world, he would have to take his services to Spain. The 22-year-old is a tricky attacker who can do the job through the centre or from the flanks. If there is a player that Rashford most closely resembles, it is the aforementioned world beater, Cristiano.

After struggling for a constant starting spot, and a permanent position under Jose Mourinho, Rashford has finally settled in under Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer’s system as a left-winger. He has already overtaken his best-ever goals tally in the Premier League, scoring 14 goals this season.

Rashford was unquestionably the leading man at United this season, taking charge to take the club to a Champions League spot before suffering from a long-term injury in January.

Rashford has looked more confident than before and that has reflected in his game. He’s already the main man at United and one of the best players in the PL, but if he wants to win honours, and take a path unlike his national teammate Harry Kane, he would want to get out of the rebuild and join a team like Barcelona, where he has the chance to play with the greatest of all time.

PSG 'Tous Unis' (All Together). GOD55

Paris St Germain have raised over 200,000 euros (180,603.48 pounds) for local healthcare professionals battling the coronavirus outbreak with the release of a limited edition jersey, the Ligue 1 champions have said.

The shirt is a replica of PSG's current home strip but has the words 'Tous Unis' (All Together) where the main sponsor logo usually sits and features badges pledging support to doctors.

The club confirmed https://twitter.com/PSG_English/status/1243301516863311873 on Twitter they had sold out a batch of 1,500 shirts via their online store on Thursday night, with all the proceeds going to Assistance Publique Hopitaux de Paris.

"We cannot be grateful enough for the tremendous and courageous work that healthcare staff are doing every day to deal with this emergency," PSG President Nasser al-Khelaifi said.

More than 25,000 people in France have been infected by the virus and over 1,300 have died, according to Reuters tally.

De Gea: Donate Anonymously. GOD55

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has donated €300,000 to fight the coronavirus outbreak in his home city of Madrid.

De Gea is believed to have made the donation anonymously to help provide medical equipment and support families in the Spanish capital.

But the 29-year-old was uncovered as the kind-hearted donor when the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, thanked him publicly.

She wrote on Twitter : "Thank you De Gea. The great help you have provided to the Community of Madrid will be key to fighting COVID-19. Eternally grateful, proud of you.”

Spain's capital, where De Gea was born and came through the ranks with Atletico Madrid, has been the worst hit region in Spain - one of the most badly affected countries by the coronavirus pandemic.

The death toll in Spain of almost 3,500 is second only to that in Italy, and higher than in China, where the Covid-19 outbreak began.

De Gea's gesture is the latest of several from leading football figures at United as well as rivals Manchester City.

United striker Marcus Rashford is leading a campaign to ensure all school children are fed while schools are shut down in the UK, while the Red Devils have joined forces with neighbours Manchester City in making a £100,000 donation to help fight the virus.

MU is My Dream: Bruno. GOD55

Bruno Fernandes has been speaking to Portuguese media this week, discussing a wide range of subjects as the midfielder reflects on his recent move from Sporting to Manchester United in the English Premier League.

In an interview with Canal 11, Fernandes talked about his early impressions of English football and the attention given to his transfer fee, while also remembering his best moments in his homeland at Alvalade.

Fernandes has proved a major success in a short space of time at Old Trafford, with universal acclaim for his performances during his nine appearances so far. The 25-year-old has three goals and four assists so far, but Fernandes admits the pace and competitiveness of English football has been a challenge to overcome

"English football is very different from all the others,” he said. “In Portugal, small teams usually shut up. Here teams do not shut up when they come to play at Old Trafford. They want to press, score goals, take risks, even knowing that United can recover the ball and score on the counterattack. The intensity is really high. If in Portugal I thought I was thinking fast, here I have to think twice as fast.”

“It is difficult to compare football now with the old days. The numbers are always just numbers. Regardless of what they paid for me, whether it’s millions or hundreds, I have to do my best and give the maximum I can. It’s not because they paid millions that I have to do more. The fact you want to give more should come from within you, not because of what’s been paid.”

Fernandes is the sixth Portuguese to play for United, with Ronaldo (292 apps) and Nani (230 apps) the most prevalent having helped the club win the Champions League in 2008. For Fernandes, his attachment to United goes back to that period, when he was in the academy of Boavista during his early teenage years.

“Manchester was the dream club for me,” he says. “My brother was a huge fan of Barcelona and I was a fan of Manchester. Once we went to spend Christmas in Switzerland, where my father worked. We went to a sports store, my brother bought a Barcelona top and got one of Manchester. At the time I was playing for the youth team of Boavista. I dreamed of this, but dreaming of it and being here is completely different.

“Signing for Manchester was the same feeling as when I signed for Sporting in Portugal: the dream of playing for a major club in Portugal, of being in the Premier League, of representing the best English club in recent years. Coming to a club that hasn't won in a while but is hungry to win, is what a player needs.

“Having names like Cristiano and Nani, who won great trophies here, makes me want to try to have those achievements as well. Nani, with whom I had the opportunity to work with at Sporting, always spoke very well of Manchester to me. And the fact that Cristiano gave good references to people who were asking about me before my signing, makes me proud of what I have been doing.”

You keep on going Bruno!!

MU: Sancho is a MUST!! GOD55

Manchester United chief Ed Woodward and boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are desperate to sign Jadon Sancho this summer. The Borussia Dortmund star has been tipped to head to the Premier League at the end of the season.

And according to the Mirror, United chief Woodward and boss Solskjaer are desperate to land Sancho this summer.

The United board want to get the deal done, even if it will cost £100m-plus to land the winger.

Should United fork out over £100m for the 20-year-old, Sancho would become their record signing.

The fee would eclipse the £89m they paid for Paul Pogba back in 2016. United are ready for a busy summer transfer window, with the Red Devils also in the hunt for Jack Grealish and James Maddison.

Do or die, Jadon Sancho must be in Manchester United. His signing will be a critical strategy for the Devils to win more cups and leagues for the next season after the coronavirus epidemic dies off.

King Pele!! GOD55

Brazilian football great Pele has described Cristiano Ronaldo as the world's best contemporary footballer, rating the Juventus forward ahead of Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

But the 79-year-old believes neither Ronaldo nor Messi are as good as he was during a celebrated career with Santos, the New York Cosmos and Brazil.

"Right now, Cristiano Ronaldo is the best, because he is the most consistent over the past 10 years, although Messi should not be forgotten," Pele said in an interview on the Pilhado YouTube channel.

The former Brazil No. 10 also cited Zico, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo Nazario, Franz Beckenbauer and Johan Cruyff in his list of all-time favorite players. He did not mention former Argentina forward Diego Maradona, widely regarded as Pele's only rival for the title of the greatest player in history.

"There is only one king. Pelé was better than all of them," he said. "If I have to be honest, well, I'm telling you the truth: my father and mother closed the factory. There will only ever be one Pele."

Pele is the only footballer to win three World Cups, and scored over 1,000 goals in a professional career that spanned 22 years.

Hahahahaha... What a swipe coming out from Pele. No doubt, he is still the greatest footballer there ever was.

Dybala & GF So far So Good. GOD55

Paulo Dybala has told Juventus fans that he and his girlfriend Oriana Sabatini 'are good' just four days on from news they had tested positive for coronavirus.

The 26-year-old forward stunned the world of Italian football when he announced that he had contracted the deadly virus but he appears in high spirits while the pair quarantine at home.

Writing on his Instagram page, where he made the announcement that he was COVID-19 positive on March 21, Dybala wrote 'estamos bien' ('we are good') to caption a photo of him doing an OK hand gesture.

Juventus, who were the first club in Italy to see a player test positive for the virus when confirmation arrived that Daniele Rugani had got it, soon confirmed that Dybala was at home and doing well.

'He has been in voluntary home isolation since Wednesday 11 March,' they wrote at the weekend.

'He will continue to be monitored, following the usual regime. He is well and is asymptomatic.'

Dybala became the third Juventus player to test positive after defender Rugani and midfielder Blaise Matuidi.

He has been active on social media to ease concerns over his well-being and has kept busy along with his girlfriend.

Italy has been the worst affected country to date with more than 74,000 positive cases of people infected with the virus.

There have been, at the time of writing, more than 7,500 deaths as the country continues to fight the further spread of the virus.

A host of Serie A players have gone public after testing positive and it remains unclear when the league will be able to conclude the 2019-20 season.

Dybala's Juventus currently sit top of Serie A after 26 matches, one point ahead of Lazio, and nine ahead of Inter Milan, who have played a game less.

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi and Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola have each donated one million euros to help kick coronavirus into touch.

Former Barcelona player and manager Guardiola made his contribution to a campaign launched by the Angel Soler Daniel Foundation and Medical College of Barcelona.
