Johor Darul Ta'zim vs Suwon Bluewings

Malaysian champions Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) get set to kick off a new era in the club's history with their first AFC Champions League tie in the new Sultan Ibrahim Stadium when they host Korea Republic's Suwon Samsung Bluewings in Johor on Tuesday.

Both sides have suffered defeats to Japan’s Vissel Kobe in their opening Group G ties, with JDT going down 5-1 on the opening day and Suwon conceding late to lose 1-0 two weeks ago.

Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) captain Hariss Harun believes his team can match Suwon Bluewings and beat the K-League side for their first AFC Champions League (ACL) Group G win at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Iskandar Puteri tonight.

The Singaporean international, however, reminded his team to be physically and mentally prepared for the game.
“I think Suwon will rely on their physical strength and quick passing, so we need to be alert and also work closely together.

Both teams are hoping to get their first win tomorrow. JDT lost 5-1 by Vissel Kobe in their opening group match while Suwon were edge 1-0 by the J-League side.
“We should not put ourselves under any pressure. However, we should avoid giving too much respect to the Korean side. Yes, Suwon have quality but it is not impossible to earn a good result here,” Hariss added.
Catch Them tonight at 8:45PM.
